Improving My Etsy Store 18/31

The place for small businesses to grow. For businesses to thrive. Or sometimes, for people to feel like they need to reevaluate their plans and start over.

Can you guess which one I am?

In all seriousness, I love Etsy. I’ll try and go to Etsy more than elsewhere to show support to smaller businesses. You never know how much it would mean to that seller to see they’ve made a sale.
Etsy, Images, Inspirational

I am someone who wants to create their own path and run their own life. Working with active and passive incomes. While I do learn a lot from research, it’s still easier said than done.

For the past few months, I’ve tried selling digital prints. All being inspired prints related to being your own boss and a blogger.
While we were lucky enough to be featured in BlogBox’s first ever box. Not much else happened from that.

I worked on it for a few months, knowing success didn’t happen overnight.
(Coca-Cola only sold 25 bottles in their first year, after all)

But after getting nowhere with this, I decided it was time for an update.

What I’ve done so far

I removed all the prints available. Leaving my shop empty. Then I made a new shop icon. I haven’t changed the header – yet – but I don’t currently think it needs changing.

I’ve been creating some new prints and some new ideas for what to bring to the store.

I’ve put up two lots of Instagram highlights. One giving you 5 designs, the other giving you 4 – although I’m offering all 9 for a cheaper deal. You just have to give me a message.

What I still need to do

Figure out the best way to bring traffic to the store. Become set in what I want to sell through Etsy. Decide the best packaging to send products off in. Create some sort of plan, so I know what my goals are when it comes to Etsy.

I’ve still got things to do when it comes to finishing up my Etsy store. Maybe even more changes to make once I go over it all again.

Do you, or have you ran an online store? What was your experience with it? Would you do it again? What advice would you give to people who’re new?

Until next time,
Surviving Millennial.
