Skills I’m Learning (Self Taught) 10/31

Learning new skills is something everyone should do. Whether it’s for fun, or for work.
Today, I’m going to talk to you about some of the skills I’ve been teaching myself!

"Hello" in Japanese

I would love to explore as much of Japan as possible, and a way to make the experience better would to be able to communicate with the people of Japan.
While I’ll admit my studying has been lacking over the last few months, I’m still determined to get there one day!

It’s tricky. But I do want to try and master – or at least not struggle during a meal – using chopsticks.
There’s a proper way to use them which I’d also like to learn. Should I ever go to a country where I’ll need to eat with chopsticks? I’ll be sorted.

Pixel Art

Pixel hearts

I’d like to try and learn animation one day. I’ve attempted making a gif before, but it wasn’t anything spectacular.
There’s something about pixel art that I like and would love to be able to create things from it. There are so many projects I could do from it.

Photoshop print screen

I used to use a free photo editing site to edit blog photos, now I use a (free – shh) version of Photoshop CS6.
With this, my photo editing has improved, but I’m also able to learn and make more.
I have an Etsy store which I’m currently improving on. With the skills I can learn in photoshop, I’ll be able to create items to possibly sell.

What are you trying, or wanting to learn?

Until next time,
Surviving Millennial.
