As someone who loves shopping in thrift stores/charity shops, I thought it would be a fun idea to show you some of the clothing that I’ve been loving lately.
These four items are all things I have purchased from various charity shops, and keep using within day-to-day life.
My Green Shirt
This is without a doubt, one of my all time favourite shirts to wear. It is so comfy, and sits so well on me. It wasn’t until I bought this that I discovered just how much I suit the colour green. Since then I’ve been on the look out for more earthy-toned colours for my wardrobe.
My Dragon Dressing Gown
This dressing gown is made out of a silk material, and rests just above my knees.
Now, while it isn’t one of the cozy, snugly type ones, it is still one I love and that is mainly because of the dragons embroidered onto it. It is so unique to me that I just had to have it. It has smaller dragons on the front as well, and comes with a silk belt which you tie around your waist to keep it shut. I plan to keep this one for as long as possible, even choosing it over more thicker, and warmer versions. It’s just that good to me.
If you know me, you’ll know I love Halloween and anything related to it. When I saw this shirt I didn’t care what size it was, (3-4 sizes bigger than I’d usually buy) I just needed it.
The shirt is covered in skulls and speech bubbles saying “woo!” all over it.
The shirt itself has fabric at the bottom which you tie together, making the bottom of the shirt sit a little higher. Fortunately for me, with it being a few sizes bigger, this doesn’t affect me too much, meaning my lower back still gets covered (and since we haven’t had the warmest weather right now, it makes it useful)
Asylum Industries Jacket
I give you, my most favourite item from this entire post. I’d live in this jacket if I could.
It’s a men’s large, which for me, makes it extra baggy and extra cozy. I actually have to make sure I don’t just constantly live in this jacket… she says wearing it as she writes this…
I love all of these items, and hope to get more like them for my wardrobe. I most definitely recommend taking a look in your local charity or thrift store and see what bargains you could find, (that Asylum industries Jacket? £2.99 instead of approx. £30!) Got any bargain items you found? Let me know! I’d love to hear about it!
