This year, I’d definitely like to do my all and make it my year. I’m fed up of coming towards NYE and looking back on the year thinking “Where did it all go?” “How much did I actually do?” “Did I really waste that much time?”
While it already seems a bit late in the year to be deciding my new year goals, I am someone who tends to not properly plan/start my goals until a few weeks into the new year.
Why? Well, it just seems to work for me.
I feel more determined with my goals, the whole “I already failed my resolutions” scene is already passing by now which makes me feel ready to give it my own go.
Goals for 2018:
Write My Book:
Now, my one goal for last year, was in fact to fully write my book. Which definitely did not happen. Unfortunately other commitments came up, which I decided to dedicate more of my time to instead of writing, which left it a little neglected.
Since then, I have done quite a bit more planning: finer details, foreshadowing, character development, A lot of work which will greatly help me this year. My greatest enemy this year, will be my own perfectionism. It’s gonna bite, but I gotta pull through.
Apply For Writing Jobs:
I want to make an income doing things I genuinely enjoy. I currently work one day a week doing a job I absolutely adore, and I am very big on wanting to save money for future things – First home, holidays, driving lessons, more tattoos, etc.
I want to keep working on things I genuinely enjoy. Things which’ll make me want to get up in the morning and get straight to work.
The last time I had a proper weekly exercise routine was when I was back in school, and that’s now a good couple of years ago.
I definitely don’t need to exercise to lose weight or anything like that, my reason for wanting to exercise is to simply tone my body, get fit, and be strong.
I want to feel confident in the body I have and I want to both feel and be strong. I want to kick my health in the ass saying “Look what I can do” I want a body I have worked for and that I can be proud of.
Being A Morning Person:
Now, if you know me, you’ll know that there is no way in hell you’ll see me getting up at 6am for the sake of it. However, I would like to start getting my body into the habit of regularly waking up around 8-8:30am. 8am is the usual time I get up for my part time work, and being able to get up within this hour 7 days a week, I definitely feel like I’ll be able to get more done, and feel more productive.
I could always use the extra morning time to fit in some exercise!
So I hope you enjoyed reading in on some of my goals for 2018. If you have any, please tell me in the comments! I’d love to read and respond to you!
